In 2005, the City of Bingen adopted an ordinance that regulates the use of fireworks in the City of Bingen.
Washington state law requires that an ordinance banning fireworks must be adopted one year prior to its implementation.
Except as authorized by a state license and city permit granted by the local fire official for public display, fireworks cannot be ignited, exploded, used or discharged within the city limits of Bingen.
Law enforcement will be enforcing the ordinance.
For an alternative location to use or discharge legal fireworks, the 4th of July celebration will be held at Bingen Point on July 4 from 8 to 11 p.m.
