Over 60 community members turned out to honor Pastor Sandy Strait and his family, Joan and Alyssia, at a farewell potluck BBQ on June 25. The Straits have been a part of the Glenwood community for nine years. They will be leaving their mission at Pioneer Memorial Community Church for an assignment near Newport in July. Best wishes to the Straits; they will be missed here in Glenwood.
Thoughts for a speedy recovery are extended to Claudette Gahimer as she will go through surgery on June 30.
Congratulations to John Jorgensen and Tina Deitz as they unite in marriage on July 1. Best wishes to you both for a happy and healthy life together.
Wishing everyone a happy and safe Fourth of July. Remember to take some time to reflect on and to be thankful for the freedoms we all enjoy everyday due to the independence our forefathers gained for our country 230 years ago.
