Enjoy old fashioned 4th at Maryhill
Family fun day activities planned for 1 to 4 p.m.

Celebrate an old-fashioned 4th at Maryhill Museum on Tuesday, July 4, from 1 to 4 p.m.
Stomp your feet and sing along to the old-time melodies of the Fourth Dimension and the Allen Barbershop Quartet.
Join the potato-sack and egg-in-a-spoon races. Bring a picnic or buy an all-American hot dog, potato salad, and snow-cones from Cafe Maryhill. Even create your own flag. Visitors will be provided with free materials and guidance to design and make a flag.
"Celebrate the 4th of July with an afternoon of art, music and old-fashioned fun," said Carrie Clark, curator of education. "It'll be a great day for families under a canopy of shade trees in the museum's picnic grounds."
Within the Museum, additional art-making projects will be available in the Eye See Resource Room which has many hands-on activities and books. Art Discovery guides, with family activities related to the Museum's current exhibitions, can be obtained free at the admission desk.
Children 16 and under are always admitted free to Maryhill Fun Days programs with one paid adult admission.
