CoExist celebration coming to Trout Lake AbbeyOn Sept. 15September 04, 2012 On Saturday, Sept. 15, the public has been invited to the Buddhist Druid fusion and organic farm found at the Trout Lake Abbey for Dances of Universal Peace. Attendees will begin dancing with live music at 3:30 p.m., but people are welcome to tour the grounds beforehand starting at 2:30. The celebration will continue until 5:30. The Dances of Universal Peace call in people of all spiritual perspectives with simple circle dances using song and movements from multicultural traditions. Each dance is fully taught in minutes allowing participants to experience the wonderful variety of connection with the Divine. All dancers are invited for this special event and especially those who have been curious but not yet motivated. Donations of $5 to $10 will be accepted. At 5:30 for those who want more network and connection time, there is a potluck option. Bring place settings and some food to share. The Abbey has bed and breakfast rooms and also options for tenting on the grounds. Contact the Abbey directly for rates and reservations at 395-2030.
