PoliceReport for WSPSeptember 18, 2012 WASHINGTON A White Salmon man was injured in a one-vehicle rollover accident on State Route 141 at milepost 10, 8 miles north of White Salmon. The accident occurred on Sept. 11, 2012, at approximately 6:37 p.m.STATE PATROL According to the report, James A. Winans, 42, White Salmon, was driving his 1994 Chevrolet van north on SR 141. The van traveled off the roadway to the east and into a ditch. The van then struck a culvert and driveway, which caused it to vault over the driveway. The van came to rest on the driver side. Winans suffered injuries, including a broken nose, and was taken by Life Flight to Providence Hospital Southwest. Linzey M. Winans, White Salmon, a 4-year-old passenger in the vehicle, was not injured but was transported by ambulance to Skyline Hospital as a precautionary measure. James Winans was charged with wheels off roadway, DUI, and reckless endangerment. According to the report, Alicia N. Pullen, 28, Seaside, was driving her 1993 Hyundai Excel eastbound on SR 14. The vehicle left the roadway to the south and struck two mail boxes, a steel post and a tree. The vehicle then overturned and came to rest on its top. Pullen was transported to Mid Columbia Medical Center in The Dalles with her injuries. She was charged with DUI. END 1COL |
