Democrats to host speaker

On Oct. 8 in Goldendale

The featured speaker for the Klickitat County Democrats October meeting will be Vernon Brown of Organizing for America, Washington.

Each state has its own organization united under a single national umbrella. Organizing for America provides logistical support to local community groups, including using social networking and New Media, and providing talking points.

Brown will provide guidance to help us help Obama carry Klickitat County again in 2012, and promote other Democratic candidates.

This is the last general meeting before ballots are sent out.

Lorrie DeKay will give a presentation with photographs on the Democratic National Convention. Candidate signs and bumper stickers will be available.

The meeting starts with a potluck dinner at 6:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 8, at the United Methodist Church, Goldendale.
