On Oct. 11, 2012, the Klickitat County Sheriff's Office, with the cooperation of the Washington State Patrol, investigated a one-car motor vehicle collision on String Street Road, east of the intersection of Cameron Road in Centerville.

The preliminary investigation revealed the vehicle was eastbound on String Street Road, left the roadway and collided with some large rocks.

A passing motorist attempted to render aid, however, Ms. Sarsfield succumbed to injuries resulting from the collision.
