WSU extension to sponsor workshops
Both at Columbia High School

Washington State University Extension will host two free workshops for agricultural producers on Nov. 10 at Columbia High School in White Salmon.
These programs are for anyone currently operating an agricultural business or interested in doing so in the future.
Participants may attend one or both workshops.
The featured presenter for the day is Lorrie Conway, accountant and farm owner and popular speaker on a variety of agribusiness and farm management topics.
The first workshop, Determining Cost of Production, will begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 12:30 p.m.
This workshop will help participants determine the cost of producing various agricultural products, which is an essential aspect of determining the price to charge wholesale or retail customers for a reasonable profit.
Those interested in attending this workshop should pre-register so they can receive a list of pre-workshop questions, the answers to which will help make the workshop much more meaningful to their individual situation.
The second workshop will be Introduction to QuickBooks. Registration is limited to 25 people for this class, which will be held from 1 to 5 p.m.
Participants will be able to access QuickBooks on desktop computers and will be guided through an introduction on the use of this popular financial record-keeping software.
On-site registration will be from 8 to 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 10.
There is no cost for either program, but pre-registration is encouraged for the reasons mentioned above.
