Two named commended students Following testing October 23, 2012 Columbia High School principal Troy Whittle announced that Cayenne Ellis and Scott Bergstrom have been named Commended Students in the 2013 National Merit Scholarship Program. A letter of commendation from the school and National MERIT Scholarship Corporation, which conducts the program, will be presented to the seniors. About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise.
