For pulmonary fibrosis patient

Clifford West of Goldendale was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis five months ago.

This is a progressive scarring of the lungs, for which there is no cure. West has been accepted as a recipient for a lung transplant! An account has been set up at Riverview Community Bank for donations to help defray the many upcoming uncovered expenses.

When the organ becomes available, he will need to be flown to Seattle within a very short time period and will be required to stay near the hospital for three to six months after the surgery. He will not be able to stay alone during this period so his wife Patty and daughter Lacey will need to share the time off work to be with him.

West had to leave his job with Allied Waste last June after 22 years.
