Death notice for Estella Kock

ESTELLA KOCK

Longtime Cook resident, Estella Kock, passed away in The Dalles, Ore., on Nov. 19, 2012, at the age of 87. She was born in Bismarck, N.D. to Myrtle (Cooper) and Fred Voigt on June 17, 1925.

When she was 21 years old, Estella moved to White Salmon to help her brothers with their logging business. On Nov. 25, 1949, she married John Kock in Stevenson.

Mrs. Kock worked as a biological aid for the fish and wildlife lab and hatchery for over 20 years.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Willard Women's Club. Estella loved cooking and baking bread and cinnamon rolls, and often cooked for seniors. She received great joy from her grandchildren.

Mrs. Kock is survived by her children Doug Kock of Vancouver, Connie Mesford of Longview, and Greg Kock of Cook; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren with one on the way. She was preceded in death by her four brothers Louis, Bob, Ervin and Les Voigt.

A memorial service will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on Dec. 12, 2012, at 11 a.m. with a luncheon reception to follow.
