Christmas musicals coming to townTrout Lake News for Jan. 3December 28, 2012 By the It was truly a White Christmas here in Trout Lake. With all the snow that we've had driving conditions have been terrible at times but it seems to bring out the best in our community. With neighbors pulling together to dig out it was obvious that many have been touched by the spirit of togetherness that the holidays bring.Trout Lake Newswriters tlnewswriters@gmail.com Sarah Burr Arnold, 395-2669 Sean McGroarty, 395-9394 Kira Fogarty Sofie Brubaker There were many great decorations out this holiday season including some built by some of our littlest community members. Children from the Trout Lake Preschool painted snowmen to show their Christmas spirit. They were part of the display at the junction of Sunnyside Road and Highway 141. Now that Christmas is over, we have a new year to look forward to and there are some great local ways to mark the occasion. The Trout Lake Business Association has the new 2013 Trout Lake Calendar available. At just $10 a piece they are a beautiful way to support your community. To order, please call Dennis at 509-395-2250. With school out until Jan. 7 and all this snow on the ground the chances to get out and play are plenty. Many folks have already been enjoying the winter weather judging from all the snowmobiles I've seen. The Sno-Parks are open and have reported four feet of snow at the lower elevations and seven feet higher up with excellent conditions. Just be sure to have your Sno-Park permit before you go. You can purchase them from either the Trout Lake Grocery or the Mount Adams Ranger District. Happy New Year from the Trout Lake Newswriters! ~ Sofie Brubaker |
