Library district launches bookmark contest

Open to students

Fort Vancouver Regional Library District launched its 2013 Bookmark Contest on Monday, Jan. 7.

The popular contest is open to students in kindergarten through 12th grades who live or attend school within the FVRL district.

Entry forms for the contest are available at the White Salmon Valley Community Library or at the district's website, www.fvrl.org.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, Feb. 8.

The grand-prize-winning bookmarks will be printed and then distributed during Summer Reading, which runs June 1 through Aug. 31.

Design guidelines will be tied to this year's Summer Reading themes: "Dig Into Reading" for grades K-5 and "Beneath the Surface" for grades 6-12.
