Eight week program looks at depression

Starts Jan. 14

January 08, 2013

Some years ago, Neil Nedley M.D. discovered that one out of every three patients he saw in his medical practice as an internist had symptoms of depression.

Determined to discover the cause of depression, he did an exhaustive survey of the research. The hundreds of "causes" he found, fell into 10 main categories.

With 15 years of research and clinical experience, Dr. Nedley has developed an 8-week program to help individuals identify the underlying causes or "hits" which bring on depression.

He said, "Every case is as different as each individual, but the 10 hit categories summarize all the possible causes for depression. And determining your causes can be as simple as taking the depression questionnaire in this program."

This seminar is excellent for those who struggle with winter-time blues, post-holiday downs, or long term challenges with depression. It is also beneficial for family members and friends of depressed people. Even those who don't suffer from depression find that they can rise to peak mental performance as they learn and apply the principles from Dr. Nedley's DVD presentations.

A free introduction to Dr. Nedley's "Depression Recovery Program" will be held on Monday, Jan 14, at the White Salmon Seventh-day Adventist Fellowship Hall at 531 E Tohomish.

Jim Hill, a local qualified director of the program, will host the 8-week series beginning on Mon. Jan. 27 at 6:30 at the same location.

There is a fee to cover the cost of materials.
