On Jan. 9, 2012, the Klickitat County Sheriff's Office received numerous vehicle prowl complaints in the Dallesport area.

The suspect(s) had entered the vehicles and stolen personal property from within.

Preliminary investigation shows that the incidents appear to have taken place during the night time hours on Jan. 7 and 9. Victims' vehicles were unlocked at the time of the incidents.

There have been no arrests made the investigation is continuing.

The sheriff's office reminds citizens to secure all valuables and lock doors to their homes, as well as vehicles.

Citizens are encouraged to exercise extra vigilance and report any suspicious vehicles, persons or activities.

On Dec. 31, 2012, a Centerville resident reported to the sheriff's office that one of his outbuildings had been burglarized.

During the investigation, deputies learned unlawful entry was made into the outbuildings. Extension cords and portable heaters were stolen.

Deputies located a vehicle near the scene that appeared to be connected to the burglary. Subsequent follow up with the registered owner led detectives to a person of interest.

On Jan. 9, 2012, detectives contacted the suspect and were able to recover the stolen property.

Arrested was 25-year-old Codie R. Milliren of Goldendale. He was booked into the Klickitat County Jail on charges of burglary in the second degree and theft in the third degree.
