After retiring, he went to work for Bingen City Police as a patrolman and later worked in security at Grand Teton National Park. Dick married Tamara Sexton (1940-1988) in 1962 and they had two children, Mike (1959-1986) and Kathy. During his lifetime, Dick was also involved in the community as an Emergency Medical Technician, reserve deputy with the Klickitat County Sheriff's Office and volunteer fireman. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors. Hunting trips took Dick into several states where he hunted many different kinds of big game. JEFFREY EISLAND Jeffrey Dean Eiesland was born on Sept. 21, 1960, to Robert and Delores Eiesland in Vancouver, and passed away on Jan. 29, 2013.In 1973, Jeff, his parents, and his siblings Jodi, Lori, and Dennis moved to Dallesport. This is where Jeff called home. He played football and basketball in high school, but his passion was baseball. He graduated from Lyle High School in 1979. Jeff went on to spend most of his time coaching baseball. He coached little league and many other teams. He became co-head baseball coach with Scott Myers at Lyle High School from 1993-2009. During that tenure he became surrogate father/uncle and lifetime coach to many. Jeff was an avid Giants and Raiders fan. Jeff was also involved in the Republican Party, Klickitat County ESD Board, Dallesport Fire Department, Dallesport Town Council, and the Lyle School Board. He loved golfing, slow-pitch softball, and Burgerville. He could probably be on a team against all of us and win at Trivia. He prided himself on knowing a little bit about a lot of things. He was the centerpiece at our family campout every year. The whole campout sort of revolved around him and he loved it. He will be remembered for his quick wit and one liners. He is survived by his parents Robert and Delores, his siblings Jodi McMurrin (Tim), Lori J. Clark (Jeff), and Dennis Eiesland (Kandi Billups), 10 nieces and nephews, five great nieces and nephews, his grandmother Emma Eiesland, and many, many, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
