GLENWOOD HOMEMAKERS

Glenwood High School students will be working on their 2013 Service Learning Project during the month of February. Part of their project includes a clothing drive from Feb. 6 to 20. Donations of gently used items including toys and clothes are being sought from community members. Please remember that toys need to have all pieces and include working batteries. Donations can be dropped off in the horse trailer that will be set up in the school parking lot for dry storage. Donated items will be contributed to Goodwill at the end of the project. Should you have questions regarding the Service Learning Project, please contact Bo Arnold at 364-3438. Thank you in advance for helping the students with this learning opportunity!

Glenwood senior citizens mark your calendars for March 12. The Glenwood Grange will be hosting a workshop entitled "Senior Living Tips" on that day. Activities will begin at 10 a.m. with coffee and visiting, followed by the morning program "Getting the Most out of Senior Services Programs." The presentation will be made by representatives from Klickitat County Senior Services. Lunch will be provided by the grange at noon. The afternoon program will feature Teunis Wyers of Wyers Law Firm sharing up-to-date tips for seniors regarding estate planning, advanced directives, etc. There is no charge for the workshop or lunch. All local seniors are invited and encouraged to attend this informative seminar. For more information, please contact Carole Surgeon, Mary Pierce or Lois Dechand.
