The Lion's Club would like you to know that they will not only be serving biscuits and gravy for their famous First Saturday Breakfast on March 2 but also on the following April 6. This of course is in addition to their regular menu of ham and eggs, omelets, and delicious pancakes with great choices of syrups. The time is still from 7 to 10 a.m., but you better arrive early just in case your neighbors all decide to take advantage of this great breakfast and glean it clean.

A little more about the "Four Points of Washington State" photo submissions: Washington State Historical Society offers that entries may be submitted from Jan. 1, 2012 until July 1, 2013. Digital photography sets that are selected for display will be presented online via the "Four Points of Washington State" photo gallery beginning in July, 2013. The images will also be featured in the flat screen lobby display of the Washington State History Museum in 2013, for a six-month, public display period. Images must show four views either showing the same location, or offer four views of different locations from around Washington State. Images should be contemporary examples of digital photography, taken in 2011-2012 timeframe. By typing in "Washington State Historical Society" in your search engine, it will take you to their web site that will give you all the information, or contact: Fred Poyner IV, Digital Collections Curator, at 253-798-5911.

With spring just around the corner, it's time to get out and enjoy the sunshine as well as spruce up your yard and neighborhood by picking up the unsightly debris along your fence line or home foundation. And remember your responsibility of picking up after your dog when you go on those walks past your neighbor's homes or while in the park. This is a place where children should be able to run and play without encountering a messy (as well as unhealthy) mishap.
