Dallesport students practice musicalLyle News for March 7March 05, 2013 By the Dallesport Elementary School is presenting "The Little Mermaid Jr" on Friday and Saturday, March 22 and 23, at 7 p.m.Lyle Newscasters Mildred Lykens, 365-0060 lykensme@embarqmail.com http://lyle-wa.blogspot.com/ The musical is based on the 2008 Broadway production and the 1989 animated feature film. The cast of 27 is made up of third, fourth, fifth and sixth graders who have been rehearsing for 12 weeks. It will be held in the school gym with free admission to the public. These kids work hard to present their plays and have entertained audiences year after year -- show your support for their endeavor while you treat yourself to an enjoyable evening. If you have ever worked with Catlink to have homeless and feral cats spayed or neutered and still have in your possession any of their traps or carriers, they are urging you to return them. Kitten season is approaching and Catlink is in need of these devices they've loaned out to community members. If you have any of these loaned to you, please call Betty as soon as possible at 541-298-8253 or email at rwc.tnrproject@gmail.com. Catlink is an all-volunteer, non-profit division of the Rowena Wildlife Clinic, dedicated to providing spay/neuter and medical care to homeless/feral cats in the Gorge. There is no charge to their caregivers, and to replace these devices would be expensive. Also, if you have unaltered cats roaming your neighborhood, please contact Catlink for their services before the felines multiply! The Lyle annex is located at the Activity Center on the south east corner of 3rd and Klickitat Street. You can also learn more at their Web site, catlink.org.
