Death notice for Donna Hilzer

Donna Lee Hilzer (Leifeste), 76, passed away on March 2, 2013, doing what she loved best: traveling with her friends.

Donna spent many wonderful years with her husband Edward Hilzer who passed in December of 1994. They were married in Sunnyside and moved to Klickitat in 1966, where they raised their four children.

Donna was a longtime employee of the Washington State Employment Security Office where she took an early retirement to spend more time traveling with her husband Ed and her many friends.

She is survived by her four children and spouses: Debbie Wolters, James and Jennifer Hilzer, Barbara and Mark Corigliano and Tammy and Don Call, as well as her brother Douglas Leifeste and sister Dorothy Rasmusson.

She was also blessed with 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Viewing and visitation were held on Friday, March 8, 2013, from 12 to 8 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sunnyside, with burial to follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside.
