7-year-old goes for number 1

Taylor Feller goes on the road, competing for fame and success in motocross racing.

Lil' Taylor Feller, 7, of Glenwood will be on the road over the next several months, attempting to capture fame and success for his two-year career in Motocross Racing.

The youngster's first stop was at the Washougal National on July 28, when he defended his National Championship title in the 50cc 4-6 stock class.

From there, he is on the road to the most coveted Amateur National Race held in Hurricane Mills, Tenn., at the Loretta Lynn Dude Ranch.

In Tennessee, he will compete against 40 of the fastest kids in the United States, hoping to bring a #1 plate home to the Northwest.

In October, the youngster will be one of only 18 riders competing in the U.S. Open and Amateur Arena Cross Finals in Las Vegas, Nev., at the MGM Grand Hotel.

There he hopes to win his first Amateur Arena Cross national title.

Taylor is the son of Allen and Davina Feller.
