The annual Community Thanksgiving Service for the White Salmon/Bingen area will be held on Nov. 18 at the Christian Assembly Church at 6:30 p.m.
In view of national concerns raised since Sept. 11, the sponsors of the service, the Mt. Adams Ministerial Association, is planning a service of thanksgiving emphasizing the unity we have in God and the strength we can draw from one another.
The service will consist of songs, scripture readings, prayers for the community and musical offerings.
The Thanksgiving message will be given by Pastor Ken Rieper, pastor of the Christian Assembly Church. Ministers from five other local churches will be participating, as well as singers and musicians from the community.
A collection will be taken for the ministerial association's Emergency Fund, which goes to local persons in need.
The community is invited to attend.
