The Glenwood Valley has been well dampened with the rain that was well needed. One can be glad the temperature warmed up before the rain hit or we still might be trying to shovel our way out of snow.
The High School Rodeo Club had a very successful Potato Dinner on Nov. 14. The proceeds will be used to support finalists attending the National High School Rodeo in Farmington, N.M., and Silver State International Rodeo in Fallon, Nev. Shayne Arnold will be competing at the Washington State High School Rodeo State Champion in breakaway roping and is a national qualifier in breakaway roping. Travis Miller is a state finals qualifier in calf roping and team roping. Kim Hoctor is a Silver State International Rodeo qualifier in pole bending, barrel racing, goat tying and breakaway roping. Good luck to each of them. A thank you to community members for supporting these finalists.
Remember the Scholastic Book Fair coming to the Glenwood library. Great Christmas gifts. Students will be reading to parents on Parent's night on Dec. 5 from 6 to 7 p.m.
The senior class will be serving a pizza dinner the evening of Dec. 5 from 5 to 7 p.m. The proceeds will be used to support the class's educational trip in the spring. So come enjoy some pizza and visit the book fair all in one stop.
The 2002 school annuals are now on sale for $20. These annuals will be distributed in September 2002 but need to be ordered now. Something new this year is the option to purchase the yearbook on a CD-ROM. The cost is $15 and the supply is limited. All orders will be accepted at the school office.
