Edwin and Florence Grayland celebrate 60 years.

Edwin and Florence Kuni of Grayland, formerly of White Salmon, celebrated their first 60 years of married life on Friday, Feb. 15.

The Kunis were guests of honor at a family celebration with their children and grandchildren at Betty's Kitchen in Elma.

Florence Elizabeth DeMaris became the bride of Edwin Windom Kuni on Feb. 15, 1942, in Olympia. They have lived on the Harbor for 46 years.

While her husband was serving in the Army during World War II, Mrs. Kuni worked in civil service.

After the war, the couple purchased Larson's Lunch in White Salmon. They also owned the Owl and Midway taverns and the John's River Lodge all in Aberdeen.

The couple's children are Dale of Satsop and Jeff of Markham. They also have three grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. Mrs. Kuni is the sister of Calvin DeMaris, White Salmon, Bonnie Kimbro, Bingen, and Agnes Winter, Wishram.
