Junior Bruins' struggles continue against visiting Castle Rock JV

A 50-29 loss at home last Thursday to Castle Rock continued the Columbia High girls junior varsity basketball team's losing streak to five games.

The Junior Bruins (7-7 on the season) got scoring from four of their six players, led by sophomore Kendra Keller's two 3-pointers and 10 points.

Freshman Megan Harvey added eight points, and sophomores Jessica Mosbrucker and Katie Mansfield chipped in with seven and four points respectively.

But visiting Castle Rock nearly matched CHS's total output in the first quarter, scoring 21 points to take a 13-point lead.

The Firecrackers owned the second quarter, too, as they outscored the Junior Bruins 13-6 for a 34-14 halftime advantage.
