A Father's Day Weekend Classic

Ketchum Kalf Rodeo rides into Glenwood for 68th time

Cowboys from around the Pacific Northwest again will be vying for the H.L. "Tye" Murray Memorial Belt Buckle when the 68th annual Ketchum Kalf Rodeo kicks off this Saturday afternoon in the Glenwood Rodeo Grounds' Whitmire Arena.

The Father's Day weekend rodeo will feature a full slate of Northwest Professional Rodeo Association-sanctioned events, including bareback bronc and bull riding, women's barrel racing, wild cow milking, steer wrestling and calf roping.

Show time is 1 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. General admission is $7 per day; $2 for kids 12 and under.

Other entertainment includes a Saturday night dance in the rodeo dance hall, with music provided by local favorites Les Richardson and R&R Country. Admission is $5.

Sunday's schedule features a cowboy breakfast (6:30-10 a.m.) at the Glenwood School, a cowboy church service (9-10 a.m.) at the rodeo grounds, and a rodeo parade through downtown Glenwood, starting at 11 a.m.
