Glenwood student-athletes made a good showing at the recent state Track and Field Meet. Congratulations to Chelsy Wheelhouse for her first place finish in the discus with a throw of 124-9; to Bron Tomeo for his first place finish in the pole vault with a height of 13-6; and to Jenna Dean for her second place finish in the javelin with a throw of 140-8. Three impressive achievements from our little school.

The combined Glenwood-Trout Lake baseball team came out on top of their district standings. The district champs are coached by George Hinderliter, Dale Cavanaugh and Jeff Dean. Way to go, guys!

Speaking of Trout Lake, you will want to head over there this weekend for the first-ever Trout Lake Farm Yard Sale. They will be selling off years of accumulated office furniture, supplies and miscellaneous stuff, plus employees will bring their own sale items, too. One-half of the proceeds will go to the Trout Lake Community Scholarship Fund. The sale will take place at the Farm grounds this Friday and Saturday, June 21 and 22, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
