Celebrate Fourth with 'Red, Wine and Blues'

Taste wine from Gorge wineries at Interpretive Center in Stevenson

Taste wine from five Columbia Gorge wineries; listen to vintage blues; and savor a barbecue salmon Caesar salad for a festive 4th of July celebration from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Columbia Gorge Interpretive Center in Stevenson.

Bring the kids and your favorite family blanket. Sit on the lawn, enjoy the views or jump up and dance to Junkyard Jane, a five piece blues band from Tacoma.

Kids can make a rubbing of a replicated petroglyph, or leather stamped bracelet, partake in a treasure hunt or watermelon spitting contest. All this fun benefits the education program at the center.

Wines will be provided by Wind River Cellars, Maryhill Winery, Cascade Cliffs, Marshal's Winery, and Syncline Cellars.

$15 tickets include admission, three wine tastings and music. Additional wine and food tickets are available. Children are free with tickets available for various activities.

For more information call the interpretive center at (800) 991-2338 or 427-8911.
