Trail Band schedules holiday concert

Holiday benefit slated for Dec. 5.

Make plans to attend "Christmas with the Trail Band, " on Thursday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m. at the Hood River Middle School auditorium, 1602 May Street.

The event is a benefit for the Hood River County Education Foundation.

"Christmas with the Trail Band" features songs, humorous stories, and instruments from holiday seasons past. The Christmas show also features songs from the Trail Band's three Christmas albums. Linda Hornbuckle will join the Trail Band for this special show.

Marv and Rindy Ross of the well-known 80s band Quarterflash originated the 8-piece all-star Trail Band ensemble in 1991 to play period music in celebration of the Oregon Trail's Sesquicentennial.

Tickets to the concert are $12 for adults, $6 for children 14 and younger, and are available at Collage of the Gorge in White Salmon, Klindt's Bookstore in The Dalles and Waucoma Bookstore in Hood River.
