Downtown White Salmon to come alive with lights on Nov. 30

Start the holidays off in song on Saturday, Nov. 30, at 5 p.m. in downtown White Salmon.

Join in as downtown businesses turn on their lights and a Sweet Adelines quartet starts out the singing.

The Creamery will be open for warm drinks and downtown restaurants will be open for those interested in staying to enjoy the lights and music.

Other downtown plans for the holidays include "Home in White Salmon" on Saturday, Dec. 14.

This will be a special day to enjoy all of the reasons people enjoy living in Gorge communities.

Individual shops will host local artisans and have special treats as well as special prices.

Those attending this downtown community event should plan to ride a festive carriage through town and sing Christmas carols with Santa.

Carriage rides will operate from noon to 3 p.m., and will include a stop at the White Salmon Library's Wassail, which will feature dancing to zydeco music and displays by local artists.

For more information about these events, call the Mount Adams Chamber of Commerce at 493-3630, or Collage of the Gorge at 493-4483.
