Klickitat stretches string of GCB victories to 71 straight

Klickitat remained unbeaten on the season with Greater Columbia B League victories over Bickleton and Riverside Christian last week.

The Vandals (5-0, 12-0) extended their conference winning streak to 71 matches with last Friday's sweep of the visiting Crusaders. Scores of the match were 15-0, 15-10, 15-12.

Senior Jordan Graeme led the way with nine kills, eight blocks and four aces (on 16-of-17 serves).

Senior Jaecee Ramsay furnished seven kills and two digs, and junior Danielle Curtis had six kills and one ace (10-10 serving).

Senior Naomi Vitale added three aces and four kills, while junior Kaeley Schultz contributed with 15 assists, four kills and two digs.

At Sunnyside Christian 3, Glenwood 0 --

The Eagles' loss to the Knights last Friday kept them winless in league play and on the season.

Lyle 3, at Trout Lake 0 --

The Cougars swept the Mustangs, thanks to senior Lindsey Blaine's 10 kills and a team total of 16 aces, to record their third GCB victory Sept. 24.

Senior Tonya Schroeder was the ace of aces with six no-return serves.

Junior Dawn Ullom served five aces, Blaine had four and senior Sarah Billette accounted for one while going errorless from the service line.

Klickitat 3, at Bickleton 0 --

Vandals Coach Kirk Huwe gave most of his starters the night off as Klickitat swept the Pirates, 15-6, 15-0, 15-0, Sept. 24.

Senior Jordan Graeme was the only starter in uniform for Klickitat and she provided eight kills in 10 chances.

Graeme also was one of four Vandals to have a perfect night from the service line. Her 11-for-11 was second only to sophomore Deidra Clack's 18-for-18 effort.
