Annual turkey dinner benefits cemetery

Glenwood News for Oct. 10

By the

The annual Cemetery Turkey Dinner will be held this coming Sunday at the school from noon to 3 p.m. Prices will be children under six, $1; children 6-12, $3; and 13 and up, $6. Money from this dinner will go into the Special Project Fund, with an underground sprinkler system at the top of the list. Please come out and support this needed effort. How many of you can remember one year ago when there was a power outage and the cooks for the dinner were scrambling to put together a meal. I bet the people who were working the dinner remember. Hopefully things will go smoother this year.

The ASB is still looking for some good quality sale items for its annual rummage sale, which will be held Saturday, Oct. 12. Give what you can and come see what you can buy to help out our kids.

If anyone has news they would like to put into this column, please call Chris, 364-3427. As you can tell from this piece, I need all the news I can get. I will be writing the paper article the month of October.

The Camas Prairie and Vicinity Pioneer Association will hold its fall meeting at the Pioneer Memorial Church in Glenwood on Oct. 6. There will be a potluck lunch starting at 1 p.m., followed by a business meeting.
