Neighbors and guests from throughout the Northwest gather at the Lyle Hotel each year to read poems by Edgar Allen Poe, stories and works by other mysterious authors or their favorite ghost stories in celebration of Halloween.
Owner Penny Rutledge invites guests to call her to identify the reading they would like to share so that there is no duplication in stories told or poems read.
"This gives each guest a chance to share their favorite story with others enjoying the Halloween season, and of course, in the company of the Lyle Hotel Ghost."
Lights out and candles lighted at 9 p.m. Reservations are suggested by the raven at 365-5953.
