The Hood River Downtown Business Association and the Columbia Gorge Arts and Culture Council invite local residents and tourists to this November's First Friday Artwalk at downtown area businesses and galleries.
This month's event, which begins at 5 p.m. on Nov. 1, offers a number of visual, audio and culinary treats to the general public.
Start your evening with a Soup for Sale Fundraiser hosted by Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, enjoy artwork by Cheryl Hall, Julie Ueland, JanePagliarulo, Seth McAllister and Darryl Lloyd, stop in at the opening reception of graphite drawings by local artists at the Columbia Art Gallery.
The Hood River Downtown Business Association and the Columbia Gorge Arts and Culture Council sponsored the 2nd Annual Chalk Art Contest on the sidewalks of downtown during October's First Friday event. Join others for awards and prizes that will be presented to all Chalk Art Contest participants during November's First Friday event.
Music offerings include Rob Newberger, Wild River, Crazy Heart, Terry Wake and Ernie Bernie.
Special events include a wine tasting by Flerchinger Vineyards and a free stone identification by master certified appraiser Mona Miller-Smith. There will also be hot stone massage by Sheila Shearer.
