Mother's Marketplace in Bingen will co-sponsor a Health, Hope and Healing seminar beginning Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. at the Hood River Valley Adult Center.
The five-week seminar will feature Thomas Jackson, M.Ed., an international health educator who operates a natural lifestyle center in Tennessee.
Jackson was a two-time college basketball All-American, a serious candidate for a professional sports career. Then arthritis brought his plans to a halt. During the seminar, Jackson will share how he overcame his crippling condition without using drugs.
Other topics will include: "Building a Strong Immune System," "Finding the Answer to Cancer," "Reversing Diabetes," "Using Food for Medicine," and "How to Live a Healthier and Happier Life."
Jackson will address not only the physical aspects of health, but the mental and spiritual components as well.
Sessions are planned for every Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Thursday evenings, Sept. 21 through Oct. 26.
In addition, each class will include a practical demonstration in some aspect of healthful living.
Free to the public, the seminar is also sponsored by White Salmon and Hood River Adventist Community Services.
The Hood River Valley Adult Center is located next to the Sports Club on Brookside Dr.
