Auditions will be held for the Missoula Children's Theatre production of Hansel and Gretel on Monday, Jan. 27, at the Park Center from 3:45 to 5:45 p.m.
All those auditioning should arrive at 3:30 p.m. and plan to stay for the full two hours. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the auditions.
Among the roles to be casetare Hansel, Gretel, eight crafty Cooks, 13 modern day campers, the creepy crawly Nasties, and the wonderfully mythical Wallybirds.
Assistant directors will also be cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week, and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.
Students in grades K-8 who live in the White Salmon School District are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary.
Missoula Children's Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. The MCT tour actors/directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 3:45 to 8:15 p.m. each day.
Hansel and Gretel will be performed on Saturday, Feb. 1, at the Park Center in White Salmon at 3 and 7 p.m.
