Tickets have gone on sale for Trout Lake's Festival of the Arts "Perfect Summer Evening," a fundraiser for the Trout Lake Council of the Arts.
The evening's activities take place at the Farm, a B&B at 490 Sunnyside Road, on Saturday, July 19.
Entertainment begins at 6 p.m., with music by The Charles Crossman Duo. Appetizing refreshments will be served until 6:45 when a southwestern buffet picnic will be served.
At 8, there is a concert in the barn featuring Sherrill Roberts, principle cellist with the Portland Opera, and her daughter Amelia, who plays with the Portland Youth Philharmonic.
Sherrill has studied music since the age of 10 and has performed in orchestras in Spain, Holland and Connecticut. She is now teaching at Linfield College in Mc Minnville, Ore.
Amelia, whose first teacher was her mother, has studied with Hamilton Cheifetz at Portland State, and played this past summer with the Wisconsin Youth Symphony. She will attend Linfield College this fall, in preparation for a career in medicine, specializing in psychiatry with criminals.
Reservations for the event may be obtained by calling The Farm, A B&B, at 395-2488.
