All Night Station plans to rock the house

Aug. 2 concert is fundraiser for Mid-Columbia Folklore Society

Saturday night, Aug. 2nd, at 7:30 pm, local favorite All Night Station (formerly No Depression) will play a house concert at the Blackburn house, 401 Montello Dr. in Hood River.

The public is invited; a donation of $6 to

the Mid-Columbia Folklore Society will be accepted.

All Night Station is a 4-piece band from the Columbia River Gorge area, playing an eclectic mix of "alternative" country with a bluegrass flavor. Alt-country is rock and roll with banjos and mandolins, it's old bluegrass tunes with an occasional electric guitar, it's the real country music.

ANS's musical influences are wide-ranging and span the decades from the old-timey musicians to modern alt-country and rock bands. They cover songs from Bill Monroe, the Louvin Brothers, and that "trad" fellow, to Johnny Cash, Steve Earle, and Uncle Tupelo.
