The following racers brought home trophies. Winners at the preschool to fourth grade level were Kaylene Tyndall, third; Dallas Foote, second; Kurt Wilkins, first; and Jacob Keithly, best of show. For the fifth to 12th grade levels trophies were received by Brian Langfield, first; and, Amy Keithly, best of show. In the adult classification Cynthia Wasgatt received third place and Suzy Wilkin got first place. Congratulations to all the winners and participants. Mr. Wood will be doing an adult derby class on Thursday nights from 5 to 7 p.m. on March 6 and March 13. The cost is $5 for materials. No sign up is necessary, just come to the wood shop at the school on those dates. The 21st Century program would like to thank all of the parent volunteers who have helped with this program and a special thank you to Mr. Wood for all of his hard work and expertise. It has been very successful and fun.

The 21st Century would also like to thank all the community members who rode the Rooters Bus to Sunnyside to support our high school boys basketball team during the district playoff games. The Glenwood School is really proud of the success of the team and the coaching staff for the great season.

The Glenwood Fire Department is having a benefit turkey dinner on March 15. This is an "all you can eat" dinner starting at 4:30 p.m. to 7:30. Dinner will be served in the Glenwood School multipurpose room. Prices for the dinner are $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. The funds will be used to purchase a porta-tank and porta-power equipment for the Glenwood Volunteer Fire Department.

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Calvin McRae on the recent birth of their grandson, Ashton Parker McRae. He was born on Feb. 27 in Overland Park, Kan., to Cory and Camilla McRae. Ashton is the first grandson for Mr. and Mrs. McRae, who also have three granddaughters.
