Support firemen, attend annual fundraising dinner

Glenwood News for March 13

By the

Don't forget the Firemen's dinner this Saturday from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Turkey dinner is the menu this year. After the experiences we have had with fires this last week, it might be a real good time to come support the firemen. They are also asking any young local guys to think about helping out and joining the fire department.

Spring sports are now in full swing. The one thing that is new and different this year is that our softball girls will be in a co-op with Klickitat this year.

Congratulations to our basketball boys who finished the season at regionals in Ellensburg. They did a great job playing against Mansfield, who went to state.

Our weather has been a little crazy lately but it sounds like the mountain accumulated quite a bit of snow. That is good news since we were so dry. Daffodils and crocuses are popping up, so spring must be here.

Congratulations to Shara Montgomery and James Bartek on the birth of their son, Preston Gene. He was born Feb. 15 in Vancouver and weighed in at 7 pounds 1 ounces, 19 inches long. He is at home in Camas and everyone is doing great.

Call Laurene Eldred for the month of March if you have any news.
