Henkle Middle School track and field teams swept the competition in their first meet of the season Monday afternoon at CHS Stadium.
HMS's eighth-grade boys scored a meet-high 106 points to win their double-dual meet with La Center and Wind River.
David White won three events for the Grizzlies, taking first in the 100-, 200- and 400-meter sprints. Kyle Hadley finished first twice, in the 800 and 1600.
Ashley Poole and Chani Weiler weres the lone multiple-event winner for the eighth-grade girls.
Poole placed first in the 100 and 200 sprints, while Weiler prevailed in the long and triple jumps to account for nearly half of their team's 70 points.
Jennifer Bryan was a two-event winner for HMS's seventh-grade girls team, which produced 77 points.
Bryan set a new school record in the shot put (27-4.5) and finished first in the discus.
Naomi Halpern was victories in three events: the 100 hurdles, the 200 dash and the long jump. Nohelani Roche took blue ribbons in the 800 and the 1600.
Henkle's seventh-grade boys, which netted 82.5 points, got first-place efforts from Kyle Earls in the 1600 and 100.
