At benefit for Glenwood athletics

Score of 70 wins Elks' Logan Memorial tournament

The team of Linette Warneke and David Weislogel posted the lowest score in a field of 27 teams during the 34th annual Francis E. Logan Memorial Chapman Golf Tournament.

Warneke and Weislogel combined to shoot an 18-hole round of 70 to take Low Gross honors Aug. 23 at Husum Hills Golf Course.

Proceeds from the tournament, sponsored by Mount Adams Elks Lodge No. 1868, went to the Glenwood School District's athletics department. (Please see photo on Page 8.)

Other winners included Don and Ginger London, who placed first in the A Flight Low Net competition with a score of 60. The second-place team of Don and Heidi Struck fired a 61.

Dale Gibson and Diana Bird won the B Flight Low Net division. Their score of 55 was three shots better than that of runners-up Bill Muncey and Colleen Connolly.

The Calloway Flight Low Net grouping saw a tie for first place between Dennis and Carol Chisholm and Chuck and Camille Hinman. Each team completed its round with a score of 71.

Third place belonged to the twosome of Jim Rhoads and Donna Mollett.
