Report for Washington State Patrol



A 31-year-old Moxee man was transported to Klickitat Valley Hospital following a two-vehicle accident he was involved in on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003, at approximately 3:45 p.m.

According to the report, Joe A. Eldred, 31, Moxey, was driving his 1989 Toyota pickup northbound on State Route 97 near milepost 25.5. Eldred lost control of his vehicle and slid into the southbound lane, striking a 1983 Ford van driven by Robert G. Robison, 56, La Pine, Ore.

Robison was not injured in the accident. Both men were wearing seatbelts at the time of the incident. Both vehicles were totaled.

Two Lyle residents were involved in a two-vehicle accident on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003, at approximately 4:50 p.m.

According to the report, Benjamin A. Macleod, 19, Lyle, was exiting SR 14 to SR 197 southbound when he lost control of his 1978 Dodge Magnum. Macleod struck a 1988 Toyota Celica, driven by Lucy Gail D. Howard, 63, Lyle, in the northbound lane. The northbound lanes of SR 197 were partially blocked because of the accident.

MacLeod was not injured, but Howard was transported to Skyline Hospital. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.

Macleod was cited for defective equipment.
