The Columbia Art Gallery opens its doors to the public in its new location on Oct. 3!
The gallery is now located at 101 4th St. in Hood River -- in the same building as CAST and Crazy Pepper.
Volunteers have been painting, scraping and cleaning for the past month. They have sorted, decided and disposed of extraneous items. The new space is beautiful, light and sunny.
The new Columbia Art Gallery will be inaugurated with an exciting show -- an invitational -- featuring the work of fine oil painters from the region.
It is being curated by Georgette Jones and Cathleen Rehfeld, which guarantees a show of interesting content and quality work.
The artists' reception will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 3.
Featured artists are Arthur Higgins, Eric Jacobsen, Cathleen Rehfeld, Harry Wheeler, Mark Nillson, Arnold Zweertz, Georgette Jones and Jane Paliarulo.
