Sarah Humphrey became the bride of Aaron Vorhis at the Hood River Valley Christian Church on July 12, 2003, in a ceremony performed by Pastor Sandy Strait.
The bride is the daughter of Dennis and Darlene Humphrey, Glenwood. The groom is the son of Mary Vorhis, Oceanside, Calif.
The wedding party included the bride's long time childhood friend, Erin Hathaway, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Christina Britsch, cousin of the bride, and Jill Humphrey, the bride's sister-in-law.
Standing up for the groom was his college roommate and friend, John Engelstad, as best man. Groomsmen were Luke Lundmark and David Humphrey, the bride's brother.
The bride's nieces, Riley and Natalie Humphrey, were the flower girls. Joel Nicholas and Nicole Britsch, cousins of the bride, were the candle lighters.
The reception, following the ceremony, was held at the Hood River Inn. The bride's aunts Karen Nicholas and Dawn Crane cut the cake, created by Kay Carr.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Glenwood High School and a 2003 graduate of California Lutheran University. She will be continuing her education to receive her California teaching certificate.
The groom is a 1999 graduate of Oceanside High School, Oceanside, Calif., and a 2003 graduate of California Lutheran University. He is employed as a computer technician at for the University.
Following a honeymoon to Ocean Shores and Victoria, British Columbia, the couple is residing in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
