At approximately 2 a.m. on April 18, the Klickitat County Sheriff's Office was advised by Wasco County of a vehicle pursuit on State Route 197. The pursuit was headed north on SR 197 from the Warm Springs area.
The pursuit crossed The Dalles Bridge and came into Klickitat County. A Klickitat County deputy took over the pursuit as it continued west on SR 14. The pursuit continued at speeds of 70-plus miles per hour to the Bingen area.
As the vehicle entered the City of Bingen, officers of the Bingen-White Salmon Police Department deployed tire deflation devices. The deployment was successful in deflating the two front tires of the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle continued through Bingen driving on the front rims of his vehicle. The pursuit came to an end as the vehicle came to a stop in the entrance to Underwood Fruit.
Four subjects were taken into custody at the scene. The driver of the vehicle 22-year-old Mario Smith, Warm Springs, was arrested for attempting to elude a police vehicle and DUI.
18-year-old Emilena Suppah, Warm Springs, was arrested for minor in possession/consumption of alcohol.
A juvenile male and female were also arrested on charges of minor in possession/consumption of alcohol and possession of marijuana under 40 grams.
