A 36-year-old East Wenatchee man was transported to Klickitat Valley Hospital in Goldendale following a one-vehicle accident on Sunday, April 25, at 4:31 a.m.

According to the report, Carlos H. Chavolla was driving his 1996 Dodge pickup on State Route 97 near milepost 14 when the vehicle left the roadway to the west. The vehicle then went onto a rock bank, turning over onto the driver's side.

Bill Gallentine, 79, Hood River, was taken with injuries to Skyline Hospital in White Salmon following a two-vehicle accident on April 23.

According to the report, Jeffrey J. Weting, 32, Hood River, and Gallentine were both driving their vehicles eastbound on SR 14 near milepost 70.9. Gallentine was making a left hand turn onto Old Highway 8 when his vehicle, a 1992 Ford Escort, was struck by Weting's 1992 Subaru.

Both vehicles were totaled in the accident.

Both men were wearing seatbelts at the time of the incident.

Weting, who according to the report was injured in the accident, was not transported to a hospital.

Cassandra Susan Mains, 42, Goldendale, was transported to Mid Columbia Medical Center in The Dalles following a two vehicle accident on Monday, April 26, at 8:44 a.m.

According to the report, Mains was driving her 1996 Ford westbound on SR 14 near milepost 87. A 1983 Dodge, driven by Sherman Lewis Derry, 58, The Dalles, was in a wide turn out facing eastbound.

Derry made a U-turn in the middle of the roadway, failing to yield to Mains' vehicle. The two vehicles then collided in the roadway coming to rest facing westbound.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.

Derry was cited for improper U-turn.
