On Friday, Feb. 6, thousands of dentists across the nation are planning to take time from their practices to help children who are not getting the oral health care they need.
The "Give Kids a Smile" campaign is an annual, one-day volunteer initiative to provide free educational, preventive, and restorative services to children from low-income families.
In White Salmon, Dr. Staci Hanson will offer free services to eligible children from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Dr. Hanson's offices are at 131 NE Estes.
Children up to age 15 are eligible if they have no dental insurance and live in the Columbia River Gorge area.
Those interested are advised to call Dr. Hanson at 493-2444 and make an appointment. Interpreters are available.
The campaign is sponsored locally by the Mid-Columbia Dental Society.
