Celebrate the Gorge with art

New gallery opens in Stevenson

The Columbia Art Gallery, with the sponsorship of the Friends of The Columbia Gorge, is presenting a show entitled "Celebrating the Gorge" during the month of January.

The public is invited to the artist reception on opening night, Jan. 16, from 7 to 9 p.m.

Several Klickitat County artists will be displaying work in this show. Erin Lemley, photographer; Toni Cordas, jeweler; Heather Marlow, hand made paper and silk artist; Linda Steider, glass artist; and Chad Mayo GhostHorse and Bonnie White, painters; are among them.

This is an opportunity to see artists' passionate response to one of the features that drew them to our area and inspires them to do art.

The gallery is also conducting its membership drive at this time. If you purchase a gallery membership before the end of January, you are entitled to a 20 percent discount on a purchase made during the month -- this is in addition to other gallery membership benefits.

The Columbia Art Gallery is a non-profit, volunteer operated gallery that represents the work of 80 regional artists, many from Klicikat County. It is located at 101 4th St. Hood River.
