Forest adventure begins for students in Missoula play

Annual production slated for Saturday

Life is no picnic when you stray from the trail!

Join Red Riding Hood and her friends on a forest adventure Saturday, Jan. 31, when Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT) and over 50 local students present an original musical adaptation of this classic tale.

The local cast features Courtney Butler as Red Riding Hood, Katherine Mosbrucker, Leearron Simon and Lisl Stadler as her three Girl Friends, Nick Mosbrucker as Little Loveable Wolf, while James Miller, Luciana Andresen, Nickolas Parsons and Rachael Kilby are featured as the Hood Family.

Also featured are The Three Little Pigs played by Chelsea Cox, Kylene Olin and Paige Stevenson; Phillip McMillen as The Woodsman, Quinn Allen as The Locksmith, and Levi Howard as The Boy Who Cries Wolf.

To complete the ensemble, Amanda Wahner, Austin Rudhe, Ilima Caldwell, Kate Jaco, Kristie Morris, Liz Reetz, Michelle McMillen, Monica Blackmer, Nicole Richards, Noe Roche, Robin Swanhuyser, and Sarah Brending will appear as the Forest Shadows, Andrew Charap, Courtney Whidden, Emma Swanhuyser, Ericka Gussick, Keaton Rogers, Manon Lerebourg, Maria Stadler, Mariah Nilson, Nika Kermani and Spencer Story as the Wolfgang, and Adriana Grant, Alexis Tibke, Allie Spadero, Donovan Grimes, Dustin Comer, Emma Wolford, Hayden Rogers, Jared Bryan, JD Cox, Jessica Monroe, Lauren Thiesies, Megan Hanks, Savannah Story, Sawyer Howard, Sidra Matthias and Tanner Robinowitz as the rascally Raccoons.

Christina Panko, Crystal Spring, Kellyn McCutcheon, Kelsey Spadero, Kelsey Torrey, Kierstyn Kempton and Russell Bucher have served as invaluable Assistant Directors throughout the week.

Sponsors for the production are Lori Owen and Jennifer Graves. The art committee consists of Camille Hinman, Rachel Connolly and Javier Ortiz. Homestay hosts are Camille and Chuck Hinman.

Red Riding Hood will be presented at 3 and 7 p.m. at the Park Center in White Salmon.

Tickets are $2 for students and $3 for adults, available at the door.

The Missoula Children's Theatre residency in White Salmon is presented locally by Henkle Middle School ASB with support from Whitson Elementary School PTO and Henkle Middle School PTO.
